Sold da G-ride and ended up at da bar...
Thank you God! I was praying and hoping that I would be able to sell my car in order to get a good down payment for a new car. And I did it! I hope to buy a little SUV soon.

Super Bowl XLV - Green Bay Packers won!
Ben, Lucila and Miss Bianca Reyes came over to watch the Super Bowl game with us. We talked, laughed, ate tons of "man food" and we were entertained by the dancing queen, Miss Bianca Reyes. We had potato wedges, super bowl meatballs, bacon-wrapped hot dogs, hot guacamole, queso, salsa and BOUGHT red velvet mini brownies. We were very hungry so I forgot to take pics of the food :-( saw-wee.

| This picture has a story. My Christmas present from Santa a.k.a. Eri was a new camera. I was excited to use it for the first time tonight. Well Bianca asked me if she could take us a picture. I have to admit...I was very nervous about letting her even hold it. BUT I still wanted to keep my "cool" title. So I let her. Lucila was very nervous too! This is why we both look so nervous in this pic! Bianca took the pic and gave the camera back and we both looked at each other with a sigh of relief. WHEW! |

Vegetable Soup!
As a result, I've learned how to cook using different veggies.
I've always enjoyed trying different kinds of fruits, veggies and beans. When I met Eric, I was surprised that he didn't like mangos, hadn't eaten an avocado without it being part of guacamole, and didn't eat many veggies. Now, avocado is part of our lunch or dinner, he loves my veggie soup BUT still won't eat mangos. I'm still working on that.
The veggie soup my mom taught me how to make includes: turnips, celeries, carrots, garlic, onion, squash, zucchini, potato, yucca root, corn and green beans. We only used about 1/2 cup of vegetable vegetarian broth. Mainly water and a bit of salt.
