Hollywood!

Meet Xavier. He's got big dreams of making it to Hollywood :-) My friend asked me to "shoot" him so he will have some pics for his profile. I did my best and below are a few of my favorite pics.
Handsome!

I remember when he was just a baby!!! He looks so grown up in this pic.

Remember when I said "I'm learning kids are totally unpredicatable"? Well for this pic Xavier jumped up on this stone edge and starting jumping up and down and runing from side to side. He's got so much energy. Made me L.O.L.

Ashley and her two beautiful girls

I had fun shooting these two sweet sisters! Something I'm learning about kids...they're totally unpredictable! FUN but unpredictable :-) Sofia will not let me take her picture if I sit her somewhere or even try to pose her. Just got to let her be or else she'll come running to me and grab the camera.
I picked a few of my favorite pics from our shoot. ENJOY :-)

Over the summer we took another trip to Florida. This time we went to Destin. Sofia didn't like the sand! I thought she would love it, roll around in it, try to eat it and laugh. Maybe next time :-)

I took my mom and Sofia to Discovery Green Park. It was so HOT! When my mom would walk in the shade Sofia would get excited. I quickly grabbed camera and took this pic of them. I (Heart) this pic.
Sofia at 11 months! How does time do it?!?! Time totally flies when you're a mommy!

Busy, busy, BUSY :-)

Miss Sofia has kept me BUSY! I feel so blessed that I'm able to watch her learn and grow everyday! She's eating fruits and veggies, drinking water, has two bottom front teeth (didn't sleep good while these were coming in), crawls and stands up every chance she gets! She can clap her hands when we say APLAUSO, turn off the lights when we say APAGA LA LUZ, loves Yo Gabba Gabba and talks throughout the day! :-)
She's grown so much in 2 months. Below are some pics.

I'm trying to sneak in workouts while she naps (during teething time I was napping when she was napping), bought a new juicer, steam Sofia's food, and practicing more on my camera :-)
I also can't live without Pinterest and Instagram :-)

6 months!

At Cheeca Resort in Florida with my mom.

Mommy and daddy taking a bike ride around the resort! Riding bikes together is so much fun!

Protein Pancake for breakfast!

The Insanity meal plan considers the Protein Pancake a snack (meal #2), but I think it's a great breakfast! I also add slices of banana and use some instant oatmeal and some quinoa oatmeal.
It's great with a cup of Joe ;-)

RECIPE: PROTEIN PANCAKE
  • 1 whole egg
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 scoop whey protein powder
  • 1/4 cup instant oatmeal
  • Combine ingredients with a few spoonfuls of water(I used one tablespoon). Mix together well, and then cook one large pancake on a non-stick skillet coated with cooking spray.
  • Nutrition Breakdown: 313 calories, 31 grams protein, 27 grams carbohydrate, 8 grams fat, 5 grams fiber

Shady girl ;-)

Sofia is 5 months old! She's tall! She wakes up every morning with a big smile.
She's sitting so much better. Not quite on her own yet. She's ready for a shopping day!
Sofia is so good about wearing her sunglasses! I'm so glad because her sunglasses are just too cute!
Found these fun yellow ones at Target for $1.00
I bought this fun Easter onesie dress at Target. Went outside for some pics.

Here we are waiting for daddy to get home from work.
He's home!

Big girl!

Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary to us!
Sofia just started eating cereal and it's a fun-MESS! She enjoyed playing with these balloons daddy got us.

Project Nursery: Sofia's room...almost done

Decorating Sofia's nursery has been fun! I'm not done just yet but I wanted to go ahead and post what I've come up with so far.
I decided not to paint the walls. I bought samples of two different pinks, a grey, and an"oatmeal" color. Once I saw what the color would be after it dried, I decided to keep the walls as they were.
I highly recommend buying paint samples and testing them out in the room. This could potentially save you money. Since we didn't have to buy paint or hire anyone to paint the room, we bought a tree :-)
It's a cherry blossom wall decal tree from PB Kids. I LOVE it and I got the idea of hanging wood letters from the branch from their catalog. The letters are from Doodles located in Rice Village (Houston). They didn't have white letters so I painted them myself. I switched out the ribbons the letters originally had with pink ribbon.
I bought Sofia's crib bedding and bird mobile from PBK. She LOVES the birds. When I put her down for a nap, if she wakes up and sees the birds, she's UP. She'll smile and giggle. I play the music and she's content.
On the left side of crib, I plan on finding a small white wall shelf or a corner bookcase. Still working on that. to the right is the closet. The door is shut. Below are the links for the tree decal, bedding and birdie mobile.

The nightstand is simple. Lamp shade and base are from...yep, PBK :-)
The angel and cross are gifts from me & daddy. Her small pink bible was given to her  on her  baby dedication day. The silver bird was $3.99 at Michael's! I was so happy when I found it. I'm unhappy I only bought one :-(
The "Love at first sight" frame is from Hobby Lobby. The small green butterfly hat box is a set of 3 from PBK.

The pink panels and sheers are from...PBK! Funny story: I loved the pink panels when I first saw them at  the Highlands store. They only had 60" size. When I called customer service to order the 90" they told me they were no longer selling them. Good thing about their customer service is that they'll help you find the product if in stock in other stores throughout the states. So one panel is from San Francisco and the other is from New York! I decorated top of curtain rod with fabric bird garland from PBK. Link is below but looks like they don't make those either.

My favorite spot in Sofia's room: The CHAIR! Guess where it's from? Yep, PBK!
It's called the Grand Swivel Glider. This was the first chair we looked at and we both felt so comfortable in it. Especially Eric; he's 6'3 and can even rest his head back on the chair.
Sofia's newborn pics were taken by Jennifer Cusimano. She was awesome, very sweet and patient with Sofia.

I ordered canvas' from CanvasPeople. If you sign up to receive emails, they send you great deals! The sign above her pic is from Hobby Lobby.
This is her changing table/dresser. This is my project. I'm thinking of changing the knobs. I'd like to decorate it with more pics but haven't had time to print them out. Do you notice how the white and pink stand out? That's why I decided to keep the wall color as is.

This is a closer view. The canvas art work is from PBK and so is her chandelier. I also ordered an 8x10 canvas from Canvas People of her very first pic.

I will update my blog when I finalize her room. My next project: Summer fun and her 1st birthday party!!!
